I just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know that DegreePlus are currently advertising two graduate-focused events for our final year students to book onto.
The first is a Pop-up Graduate Recruitment Event on Thursday 29th October at Park Campus, 11am – 1pm – click on the link to read more on the DegreePlus Portal. Employer details will be updated as and when employers confirm their attendance, and there will be a mixture of business areas there.
The second is the National Graduate Recruitment Exhibition 2015 on Friday 6th November in the NEC, Birmingham, 11am – 4pm – follow the link for further details. We are running a bus from Park Campus to take any student who would like to go, they just need to book their space on the coach as per the booking instructions. Seats cost £8 to book but this will be reimbursed by the Event organisers. Details of exhibitors is on the website for students to decide if this will be relevant for them.

Digitals stories come in many forms: books for toddlers with audio sound effects, digital photo albums, mobile phone images/audio recording, stories read onto tape/cd and used for long car journeys, DVDs of films, web-based iPlayer, video-on-demand services, blogs – the list goes on!
Stories may be told using different media – text, graphics, audio, video, animation and in some game situations, as haptic feedback.

Just a reminder that we have the large AO large scale poster printer available to use in the Park library. The printer is located in the main library reception area near the enquiry desk. It is connected to any of the PCs or Macs in the library reception area. If you would like to use it ask library staff at the service desk for more information. The cost is £4.50 per poster.
Just don’t leave it until the last few days to do the printing. Last year some groups left it until the last minute and ran into problems. More support is available during the day than evening so please plan ahead…..

Graduate Vacancy: Trainee Project Engineer
The role of Project Engineer encompasses design of intelligent building control systems using KNX
protocol technology, preparation of documentation to be used by on-site installers and electricians,
preparation of functional software using standard design tools and on-site commissioning activity. This is a trainee position with the ultimate objective of achieving Project Engineer status within two years. Training will be on-the-job and via industry training and qualifications. The role would require occasional travel within the UK and possibly into Europe.
